BidPrime alternatives by price and fit
Why are you looking? The answer points to a different tool. Here are the options, including ours, with published prices and alert speed where vendors state it.
Why are you leaving? If you want a published price, HigherGov, BidNet Direct and VendorLine all have one. If you want something free, try Euna Supplier Network. If you want spend data, look at GovSpend. BidPrime already includes matched alerts and alert setup, so if you want a different approach to matching, compare VendorLine, BidSparq and VelocityBids on your own results.
We sell one of the products below, so weigh that. Facts come from each vendor's own pages on October 31, 2026. The "suits" column is our reading, and coverage numbers are each vendor's own claims, which we have not tested.
What BidPrime is
BidPrime is an Austin company that sends bid and RFP alerts across state, local, education and federal buyers. It claims over 120,000 sources and says opportunities are captured as they publish. Its plans page lists matched email alerts, personal alert configuration and a dedicated account manager on every tier. Plans are billed annually and quoted to your geography, with a 30-day free trial that needs no card. Higher tiers add award and market data.

BidPrime vs HigherGov
HigherGov publishes its price, starts at $500 a year, and leans federal on our reading, with state and local included in every tier. BidPrime is built around state, local and education alerts and sets a price by geography. If you sell mostly to federal agencies, try HigherGov first. If you sell locally, run both on the same buyers during their trials, since neither vendor's coverage claim can be checked from the outside.
When to stay with BidPrime
If your alerts are good and the renewal is fair, stay. Switching costs you saved searches and your team's habits. If price is the issue, ask for a quote on the states you really bid in before you shop around.
How to compare properly
Vendors count sources differently, so coverage claims do not compare. Run a test instead. For two weeks, log every bid each tool sends you, mark the ones you would actually bid, and note which tool showed each one first. Then give each tool five buyers you care about and ask whether it covers them.
You can run VelocityBids in that test, with limits. Enter your website to see open matches in seconds, with no card. The 7-day trial needs a card, and with a weekly email it gives you only one or two sends, so judge us on the preview as well. Keep BidPrime running while you test. We estimate we hold 45% to 70% of state and local bids, with medium-low confidence as of October 29, 2026, and we publish what we can and cannot see.
