VendorLine pricing, limits and alternatives
VendorLine costs $547 a year, or $897 with AI. Its three pages agree on those prices and disagree on what each plan includes. Here is what is confirmed, where we are worse, and what to compare it with.
VendorLine is the vendor-facing product from PlanetBids, whose agency portals it links to. It sells a nationwide search with a pipeline and teaming tools, and an AI plan on top. Its AI plan is priced under $1,000 a year. This page covers what each plan includes, where its own pages disagree, and what to compare it with.
We sell a competing tool, so weigh that. Every fact about VendorLine comes from its own pages on November 1, 2026. Volume and agency numbers are its own claims, and we have not tested them.
What VendorLine includes
| Plan | Price | Listed on the pricing page |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $547 a year | My Bids, viewing and posting subcontracting opportunities, bid details with document downloads, centralized profile management, nationwide bid access, daily bid notifications, a watched bid list, standard support |
| Pro Plus AI | $897 a year | Everything in Pro, plus priority support, exclusive webinars and events, AI-powered bid decisions and AI chat for bid requirements. The product-overview page caps this at 100 AI-analyzed bids a year |
Its home page describes AI bid matching, bid briefs, a bid and no-bid assessment, agency intelligence profiles and a subcontractor directory. It says matches are delivered as a ranked shortlist to your dashboard every morning, with reasons. The pricing page ties the AI decision tools and chat to Pro Plus AI. It also says PlanetBids and its agency partners never charge you to bid, and that you can search individual agencies for free. The home page says only that bidding on any PlanetBids opportunity is always free.
Where its three pages disagree
The dollar amounts match on all three pages. The rest does not, so ask before you rely on any one reading.
- The AI row. The home page compares VendorLine at "$547/year, billed once" with others at "$2000/year, billed monthly" and lists its AI as "bid matching, summaries, chat, bid uploads." The pricing page puts AI decisions and chat only in the $897 plan.
- A missing plan. The home page says Pro is everything in Basic and shows no Basic plan. The pricing page does not use the word Basic, and its FAQ describes a free route, searching each agency's Vendor Portal, so Basic may mean that route. None of the three pages shows a Basic price or features.
- Features by plan. The home page lists Pro's features without document downloads or daily notifications. The pricing page lists both under Pro.
- Matching by plan. Product-overview lists "Tailored bid matching" under Pro, while the home page lists "AI bid matching & briefs" only under Pro Plus AI, so ask what the $547 plan includes.
- Volume. The home page says VendorLine searches 10,000+ solicitations daily and adds 400 to 700 bids a day. A counter on its sign-up page showed 3,022 active bids and 444 new bids in the last 7 days when we read it. The two may measure different things, and the home page counters did not render for us.
What is not stated
- Seats. None of the three pages says how many users a plan allows.
- Free trial, cancellation and refunds. None of the three pages says. The price comparison says "billed once," which suggests an annual charge, and we read it that way without confirmation.
- Geography. Both plans say nationwide. The pages do not say how deep coverage runs outside PlanetBids agencies.
Where VendorLine is better than us
It is far cheaper: $547 or $897 a year against our $5,988. Its AI plan lists bid decisions, plain-language summaries and chat about requirements, up to 100 AI-analyzed bids a year, and a teaming directory with sub-bid postings. Our $499 Bid Monitoring plan lists none of those. Full Service, custom priced and outside the table, adds a go or no-go call on every bid, competitor bids, prices and scores through public records requests, and response drafts your team reviews. If you mostly bid on PlanetBids agencies, it is built for you, and bidding there is free whichever plan you choose.
Where we differ
Bid Monitoring sends live, daily alerts matched to your services and area, with the reason each bid fits and the official link. We check 20,000+ public sources and estimate we hold 45% to 70% of state and local bids, with medium-low confidence as of October 29, 2026. As of October 29 to November 1, 2026 (how we count), we hold documents for 51% to 58% of state and local bids and 29% of federal bids on SAM.gov. A bid has to reach us first, and we do not collect every source every day. We have not tested our matching against VendorLine's, and we have no measure of its coverage. If a low price and AI summaries matter most to you, start with VendorLine.

How to test it
Take five buyers you sell to and ask whether VendorLine shows their bids, and whether a bid opens documents or sends you to the buyer's portal. Then log two weeks of its morning shortlists against any other tool and mark the bids you would bid. Download the five-buyer worksheet to record it.
